Who Should Apply?

This programme is designed for teams at ambitious non-profits and scaling social enterprises that are ready to grow but feel stuck in one of four modes:

  • Firefighter Mode operating under constant pressure, with limited headspace for strategy. Your fundraising is largely driven by short-term deadlines and funder requirements, and decisions are constrained by immediate financial risk rather than long-term priorities.

  • Overload Mode trying to do many types of fundraising at once with limited capacity. You need direction and to know where to put your energy.

  • Reliance Mode where fundraising is currently working because of strong personal relationships and goodwill, rather than clear systems. Knowledge and decision-making sit with a small number of people, creating hidden risk if circumstances change or your organisation tries to scale.

  • Constraint Mode where you’re clear on direction and able to make strategic decisions, but limited by structural or financial constraints. Your challenge is less about clarity and more about leveraging your strategy effectively within a tight or uncertain funding environment.

Who Should Be In The Room?

To get a Board-ready result, it’s best that your Bootcamp team involves people with the authority to make decisions. We recommend this Bootcamp for Mid-to-Senior Leaders (CEOs, Development Directors, Heads of Fundraising or Fundraising Managers who work closely with decision makers).

However, you don't have to do it alone. You can bring up to three team members for the flat price. In fact, we encourage you to bring the deciders as well as the doers, and to have a range of seniority represented.

What Kind of Fundraising Does the Bootcamp Cover?

We specialise in high-value relationship-based fundraising. This programme is for you if you are looking to generate income through strategic partnerships with a range of philanthropic audiences. You can choose to focus your strategy on one or all of the following:

  • Trusts and Foundations

  • High-Net-Worth Individuals

  • Corporates

  • Governments & Multilaterals

  • Legacy Fundraising

How It Works

Through collaborative design workshops, peer matching and live coaching from our brilliant Advisors, we support you to build your strategy layer by layer, so you can raise more, more consistently. Over 12 weeks, you will work alongside a brilliant cohort of peers and I.G. experts to build your strategy in real-time. You can expect:

  • You’ll get grounded with a forensic assessment of your data and capacity. We’ll support you to unstick the blocks and spot opportunities so you can focus energy on the tactics that payout.

  • In weekly interactive workshops, we’ll teach you the exact processes and methods we’ve used to build $1bn strategies. You’ll get access to our templates and tools, with support to put them into practice and report back.

    Learning & Research Phase:

    • Week 1: Kick Off, Defining Goals and Targets.

    • Week 2: Asset Review, Historical Financial Analysis and SWOT.

    • Week 3: Stakeholder Engagement, Interviews and Surveys.

    • Week 4: Desk Based Research, Landscape Research and Benchmarking.

    • Week 5: Prospect Research, Network Mapping and Donor Personas.

    Drafting Phase:

    • Week 6: Finances and Targets.

    • Week 7: Getting New Donors.

    • Week 8: Keeping Existing Donors.

    • Week 9: Comms, Storytelling and Positioning.

    • Week 10: Staffing and Governance.

    Testing & Finalising Phase:

    • Week 11-12: Feedback, Action Plans and Getting Board-Ready.

  • We combine the expert learning sessions with additional small group coaching sessions so you can apply our methodology in a way that’s realistic and uniquely yours. This process helps you uncover opportunities for unrestricted income that work regardless of who is in the room.

  • You’re never doing this alone. You’ll join a small, driven cohort of peers, and be matched with a buddy organisation for regular check-ins, to double your brain trust instantly and inspire each others’ practice. Bring up to three team members at no extra cost and leave as an aligned unit ready to implement your learnings, ensuring your future isn’t dependent on any single relationship-holder.

  • In the final weeks (11-12), you’ll pitch your strategy back to Team I.G. and your cohort, for critical, commercial feedback. We will pressure-test your assumptions to ensure key decision-makers receive a strategy that is both clear and robust.

  • By the end of the 12 weeks, you’ll walk away with a realistic, ambitious, high-value fundraising strategy your Board can feel confident signing off on.

  • To ensure strong execution, three months post-Bootcamp, we reconvene 1-1 to troubleshoot hurdles and keep you accountable to your targets.
